Day 12 -- first weigh in??

So, I decided to weigh myself this morning. I don't know why. I guess I was just curious. Since I have been sick, I have had zero appetite. I will take one bite of something and then I am done. Unfortunately, that means that my weigh in is not realistic.



Are you ready for what Mr. Scale told me?!


138 lbs!!!


I have lost 12 pounds so far. I know I will put some of it back on, but I would like to think that I lost some of it on my own. I guess time will tell. I am not going to go crazy about it, but it is nice to know that I CAN lose weight. I think I will just consider this an unofficial weigh in.

I am feeling a little better now. I am still super congested and barely have an appetite, but I do have energy. Who knows, maybe I will do some crunches with my weights today! :)

If you have light weights (2 or 3 lbs), then a great exercise that works your whole stomach is sit ups. Here is how to do it. Hold one weight with both hands (1 hand on each side of the weight). When laying down with knees bent, hold the weight right above your chest. Do a sit up as usual, but once you get to the top lift the weight above your head with both hands. Then roll your body down to your original position. Start off easy with this. It is a lot harder than it seems. AND it works your arms and stomach at the same time :)

I hope you all are doing well. Oh and don't let my crazy sicky weightloss let you guys resort to not eating. Since I haven't been able to eat, I can't stand up without getting dizzy. It is not healthy. Let's do this weightloss the healthy way!!! :)

Hi! As with 100 days I found your blog on the knot. Perfect timing for me b/c I'm starting my own "bridal boot camp" on Jan 1. 1 more day of eating whatever I want! I want to lose 20 lbs before my wedding on July 11, 2009. I know it's attainable. I have gained and lost before but it's hard b/c my fiance eats whatever, whenever and I have gained weight since we met a year ago. So let the fun begin! If you don't mind, I will add you to my blog roll and stay in touch. Maybe we can all attain our goals with a little motivation from each other! :)

Hi Amy! Welcome to the ultimate weight loss journey. There is definitely a lot of support here. I have no doubt that you will lose your 20 pounds before your wedding! :) I know what you mean about your fiance though, mine does the same thing. Eats whatever whenever... because of it, I have gained about 20 pounds since we started dating haha. We can do this :)

Thanks for the comment! Yes, my blog is where I'll be posting my weight loss. I didn't want to make a new blog for that so I figured I'd just use my original blog! This is going to be fun! I'm so glad I found other gals wanting to lose some lbs for their wedding! Happy dieting!

I hope your feeling better! I tried those sit-ups.. and ouch!! They really do work. I'm going to go do some more.. but i love/hate you! love cause they work.. hate cause they hurt/work! lol :)
